Graduation Information

The crowning achievement to an academic career is, for most students, Commencement. CMU encourages all students eligible for graduation to take part in a Commencement ceremony.

2017 Commencements

Fayette: May 13, 2017

Baccalaureate will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Linn Memorial United Methodist Church. Lunch is available in the Student Center from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Graduates are guests of the University. Commencement begins at 2:00 p.m. in Puckett Field House.

Commencement will be live-streamed A link will be available on the CMU homepage the day of Commencement or visit CMU's YouTube channel.

Seating: Seating for family and friends is ample but on a first come, first served basis. 

Sedalia: May 17, 2017

Commencement begins at 6 p.m. in the SFCC Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center in Sedalia

Students graduating from CMU at Clinton, Lake of the Ozarks, Linn, Neosho, Sedalia, and online in the Missouri western region will participate in the CMU-Western Region Commencement.

Park Hills & Poplar Bluff: May 20, 2017

Commencement begins at 11 a.m. in the Mineral Area College Field House.

Students graduating from CMU at Park Hills, Poplar Bluff and online students in the area will participate in this Commencement.

Union: July 25, 2017

Commencement begins at 7 p.m. in the ECC Theater on the East Central Campus in Union.

Students graduating from CMU in Union and online students in the area will participate in this Commencement.

St. Louis: August 10, 2017

Commencement begins at 7 p.m. at Manchester United Methodist Church (129 Woods Mill Rd., Manchester, Mo.)

Students graduating from any program in the St. Louis area and online students will participate in this Commencement.

Graduating Senior Information

Students wishing to graduate must complete the Graduation Application found on myCMU. All graduates need to submit the $75 graduation fee to the Business Office.

Academic Regalia

Arrangements for academic regalia for Fayette students are made through the Eagle Store. Students graduating at other locations should order their cap and gown online.
