Refund Checks

If a student's financial aid has been processed, enrolled hours are confirmed, and he/she is eligible for a refund, the Business Office will begin issuing refund checks. Refund checks will be mailed to the student's home address on file at CMU. Students can refer to myCMU to see if there is a credit on their account and eligible for a refund. Students will not receive a refund in time to purchase textbooks, but if they have their financial aid completed, may qualify for a textbook voucher through eCampus. See the book voucher information page for details.

Pell Recalculation Date

Students who are awarded a Pell Grant will have their Pell Grant recalculated each semester on the Monday after the add/drop week at the beginning of the semester.  Pell Grants maybe reduced or increase based on enrollment at the time of the recalculation.  Any courses added after the recalculation date (including consortium hours) will not result in a change in the Pell Grant eligibility.  Any courses that are dropped (never attended) could reduce Pell Grant eligibility.
