For Students with Student Loans who are withdrawing, transferring, dropping below half-time, or graduating:
Students are responsible for completing Direct Loan Exit Counseling when they graduate, leave school, or drop below half-time enrollment. Students should go to the Federal Student Aid (FSA) website to fulfill this requirement. Failure to do so, can result in penalties, including a hold on documents including diplomas. Great Lakes offers repayment and other videos that borrowers can access 24/7 to review your repayment responsibility and payment options to consider. Additionally, this brochure by Federal Student Aid with additional information is available to download.
