Gregory Owen
Gregory
J. Owen (Scenic and Lighting Designer) is an adjunct professor
of thetre at CMU. This is his first design at CMU. He has
previously taught at University of Central Missouri in
Warrensburg where he did scenic design and technical direction.
Greg has designed for the Old Creamery Theatre, Quincy Community
Theatre, and the Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre. His favorite
designs include Spinning Into Butter (for which he won
a meritorious achievement award from KCACTF) and The Clean
House at UCM, Forever Plaid and Cotton Patch
Gospel at OCT and Bridge To Terrabithia, Over
The Tavern and Aladdin Jr. at QCT.
Greg is also an award winning playwright and is active in Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, South Eastern Theatre Conference and is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.
