Chuck Thompson

Chuck Thompson is the scene shop foreman for CMU’s Little Theatre, where he helps design sets as well as directs students in the construction of sets for the theatre department’s plays throughout the year. He also teaches a class in Stagecraft.

Thompson holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and served four years in the Navy's Construction Battalions, the Seabees. He taught Industrial Education classes at Clark Middle School and Fayette High School for 33 years, where his curriculum included drafting, woodworking, introduction to technology, and beginning architecture, and where he saw architectural principles implemented into many classes. He attended Frank Lloyd Wright's Teacher Residency Program at Fallingwater in 2004 and 2007. In the summer of 2008 he was a high school teaching assistant at Fallingwater with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy. In 2002 his program received the TEAM State High School Program of the Year Award.

Chuck is a retired Major of the Army Reserves and National Guard, where he served 22 years in the Armor branch and Field Artillery.
