Strategic Planning - Making a Difference with Distinction
February 26, 2016
The Board of Trustees of Central Methodist University unanimously approved our Strategic Plan, “A Difference with Distinction”, at their meeting earlier this month. I believe the Strategic Plan is one of the most important documents to an institution; it will guide our collective work and our decisions in the coming years. The plan provides a pathway to a better, stronger University. It is now up to all of us to do our best to execute this very ambitious strategy.

I am excited to announce that Central Methodist University has officially begun its next strategic planning process. The outcome will be the development of a comprehensive plan to guide the institution over the next five years, as our current plan takes the institution through 2015.
The theme for the plan will be "Making a Difference with Distinction." Our target completion date is February 2016.
The Task Force will share minutes with the CMU community, post updates on progress, and provide an online form for comments. In addition, the Task Force is actively planning methodology to gather feedback from the various stakeholders of the institution. Updates will be provided as new information is available.
The Strategic Planning effort will not only chart a course for CMU in the years to come, it will assist us as we move toward our next Higher Learning Commission accreditation initiative coming in 2017. I look forward to your participation in charting a path to continued success for our university. Thank you.
