Director of Admission
Adam joined Central Methodist University in August 2014 after sharpening his student recruitment skills in South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota. The North Dakota native has both his Bachelor's (English) and Master's (Business Administration) degrees from the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D. He and his wife Desirae are parents of daughters Ava and Allyson.
Mary has been employed at Central since February 1993. She enjoys gardening and her grandchildren. Mary and her husband, Gerald, reside in Fayette.
Campus Visit Coordinator
Paige graduated from Glasgow high school in 2004. After high school, she went on to obtain her AA degree in Business at Moberly Area Community College in 2006. She has been employed with CMU since August 2012. Paige currently resides in Glasgow with her husband Chris and her two sons Owen and Paxton. In her spare time she enjoys reading books about history and spending time with her family. Paige loves getting to know prospective students and their families through her job at CMU.
Penny Pihana Shaw
Penny has been employed as Central since January 2002. She and her husband, Dale, have three children: Makai '02, Kalei and Mauka '06, and four grandchildren. She enjoys Ohana time, hula, Hawaii nei, glass engraving and her job at CMU. Her favorite past-time is babysitting.
Vice-President of Institutional Growth and Student Engagement
Ken Oliver has diverse experience in higher education. Over the past 20 years, Oliver has served as an assistant coach, head coach, associate professor, director of student-athlete retention, dean of students and enrollment, director of athletics and vice president.
On May 2, 2012, Oliver was appointed as Central Methodist Universitys first Vice President of Institutional Growth and Student Engagement. This marks his second stint as a staff member at CMU.
His new post at CMU is tasked with leadership and strategic direction for enrollment growth with quality, oversight and management of CMU student development programs and its 14-sport athletics department. He will be deeply involved in enrollment and retention, including support for integration and coordination of CMUs on-campus College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) and its College of Graduate and Extended Studies. He will also work closely with areas such as fundraising and development, marketing and physical plant operations.
