CGES Academic Support Specialist

GENERAL SUMMARY:

To provide academic support to CMU’s off-site locations (CGES). This includes but not limited to registration, transfer work (online and St. Louis locations), withdrawal processing and day to day functions of the Registrar’s Office for CGES students.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with the transfer work of St. Louis and East Central campus students-25%
Assist with the graduation process of St. Louis and East Central Campus students-15%
Assist and process registration forms/request for CGES students-10%
Mange document scanning for CGES-10%
Assist the Student Data Support Specialist with updating, maintaining and tracking articulation agreements for the St. Louis and East Central Campus areas-10%
Process all Dean’s List for CGES-5%
Process all probation and suspension for CGES-5%
Manages CGES wait lists-5%
Process all name/address changes and change of major forms (only for St. Louis and East Central campus) for CGES-5%
Process electronic updated information through CARS-5%
Maintains St. Louis and East Central campus files, filing included-5%
Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates degree preferred, not required.
High school diploma, required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work at a computer for long periods of time, filing and periodic lifting up to 15 lbs.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

General office equipment, Microsoft Office products, Jenzabar and multi-tasking and customer service skills.
