Adjunct English Instructor-Dual Credit

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The instructor will teach assigned course sections in Fayette or Columbia, depending on assignment, including all prep, planning, grading & returning work in a timely manner, and other duties pertaining to the course.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

85% planning, teaching, and grading for the assigned courses

10% communicating with high school counselors, facilitators and First Class at CMU

5% other duties as assigned

 

MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

N/A

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Required:  master’s degree with at least 18 hours of graduate work in the discipline to be taught,

Teaching experience

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to speak in a clear and loud voice.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general office equipment, ability to use course management system
