About This Program

The Accelerated Nursing program is designed for those with a previously earned bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university, and who now wish to enter the nursing profession. The program is fully approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at CMU is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) . The program offers clinical experiences in a variety of health care facilities. This program is labeled as accelerated for a reason, as it can be completed in as little as 14 months.

As a CMU Accelerated Nursing major, you will have opportunities to:

  • develop the skills employers seek while taking classes such as Psychosocial Integrity, Pharmacology, Leadership and Management, Nursing Research, Maternal/Child Nursing, and Public Health and Community Nursing Concepts
  • participate in hands-on learning through classes and clinical experiences
  • become a candidate for employment who is highly desired for your leadership, management, and health care skills, and who stands apart due to your compassion and dedication
