Student Accounts

A myCMU account allows students access to student records including: view their course schedule, register for classes, view their financial aid, enrollment checklist, billing and payment plan information, housing, 1098, and transcripts.

An Eagle account allows students access to things like Canvas, O365 which is email (Eagle Mail), Panopto, Handshake, online library databases, computers on campus, campus Wi-Fi, and campus network printers.

If you do not receive your myCMU account information, please contact the Office of Technology Services to obtain your account information.

Students can access myCMU, Canvas and Eagle Mail at the top right of any CMU webpage.

Faculty & Staff Accounts

To be an authorized user of Central Methodist University technology resources, you must be a current or emeritus University faculty member or a currently employed staff member.

All Faculty & Staff must complete the CMU User Agreement.

Prior to the creation of a faculty or staff account, employment information is verified through Human Resources.

Accounts for Staff

After completion of the CMU user agreement, staff at CMU are provided with an Eagle account and Jenzabar CX (CARS) account. An Eagle account allows access to the campus network including University-owned computers and email (Eagle mail). Jenzabar CX accounts provide staff with the ability to perform administrative functions related to their job.

Accounts for Faculty

After completion of the CMU user agreement, full-time faculty at CMU are provided with an Eagle account and a myCMU account. An Eagle account allows access to the campus network including University-owned computers, Canvas, Panopto, and email (Eagle Mail). myCMU accounts gives faculty advising capabilities, registering students, entering final grades, and viewing the faculty schedule. Accounts given to part-time faculty are handled on an individual basis.

Accounts for Alumni

Eligible Central Methodist University (CMU) alumni retain access to their Eagle account for two years after graduation (or their last semester enrolled at CMU) to allow time to transition any email, documents from your OneDrive, or other information to another service.  After that time period, the account will be expired. It is critical that alumni make appropriate arrangements for this expiration, as these accounts will be subject to deletion and not recoverable.

Alumni shall continue to comply with the terms and conditions of the CMU Acceptable Use Policy. CMU reserves the right to terminate alumni account service or gain access to any particular alumni account for any reason, including security concerns, misconduct, or a change in service, including a decision not to continue to use Microsoft Office 365.
