Admission Requirements - MSITM

The Master of Science in Information Technology Mangement (MSITM) degree program is 35 credit hours in length. It can be completed during full or part time study. Courses are offered all online. 

Requirements for Admission

  1. Application
  2. An earned bachelor’s degree.
  3. Official transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate coursework from accredited colleges or universities must be submitted and directly received from the issuing college or university
  4. A cumulative grade point average on all undergraduate transcripts, (GPA) of a 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
  5. Statement of intent of 300 to 500 words that includes your interest in the program and career goal
  6. Any international coursework completed must have official transcript evaluations completed and submitted to the University by the evaluation firm. Evaluations MUST include GPA for admission. Approved evaluation firms are:Accreditation, Approval, and Licensure of Institution Programs
    1. Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE)
  7. Documentation of language fluency for non-native speakers of English, such as a score report from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the 8 International English Language Testing System (IELTS). This requirement is waived for students who have completed bachelor’s or master’s level coursework in the U.S. at an accredited institution. The minimum acceptable TOEFL or IELTS scores for admission are:Accreditation, Approval, and Licensure of Institution Programs
    1. Paper-based TOEFL (PBT) - 550 
    2. Computer Based TOEFL (CBT) - 213
    3. Internet-based TOEFL (IBT) - 77 
    4. IELTS – 5.5
    5. Statement of intent of 300 to 500 words that includes your interest in the program and career goals
    6. International students applying for the program and seeking F1 VISA status must provide a copy of their current passport and proof of financial responsibility.
    7. Admission to the Master’s in ITM Program is completed by a review of the above documents.

Additional Information

Students will be required to complete a minimum of 35 credit hours of coursework.

Students will have to complete all of the courses noted above, including the Applied Learning Experience course that is required each semester. The applied learning experience component of the program is designed to facilitate the application of knowledge and skills gained in the classroom. Each course has a specific sequence and should be taken in that order, based on prerequisites. Students must pass all courses with no more than two courses below a B grade.
